Day 1. ARRIVE AT DELHI AIRPORT. OVERNIGHT DELHI.
International flights usually arrive late in evening or at night, so we would recommend to consider arriving a day earlier to recuperate and relax from jetlag and it also serves as an insurance against international flight delays and cancellations, besides an additional night’s stay can also be added at the time of the booking.
on arrival, you will be greeted by our executive and will be escorted to your respective hotel and your tour plans will be briefed to you there only, mostly, your necessary documents and travel vouchers will be handed over to you along with the interstate tickets.
DAY 2. DELHI SIGHT SEEING AND OVERNIGHT DELHI.
Today your tour guide will take you for exploration of country’s capital city, which is said to have been founded and destroyed and again habited more than seven times in the last 5000 years. your tour will be started with visit of Jama masjid, a 17th century mosque built by the Mughal emperor Shahjahan, who also commissioned the construction of the famous landmark of India, the Taj Mahal. The mosque also consists a large courtyard where 20000 devotees could pray at a time. then, you will also taste the experience of rikshaw ride in the narrow by lanes of Chandni chowk, founded by Shahjahan’s daughter, and is famous for spices, wedding dresses for bride and dry fruits. Here the way he drives the rikshaw is really a skill to cherish and are suggested to keep your hand in the boundaries of hand rest to avoid scratch from other overtaking rikshaws. Then, next stop will be Rajghat, the cremation site of mahatma Gandhi where eternal flame is burning at his final resting place and is surrounded by lush green lawns. Then you will be driven to Humayun’s tomb, which is also known as dormitory of the Mughals, considering the large number of tombs of Mughal emperors and their many relatives built there. The beautiful tomb is the first example of double dome and Charbagh (Islamic design of laying gardens) in india.it is said that the tomb was built by Humayun’s second wife hazi Begum for her husband with the help of Persian craftsmen in 16th century. Now, you will proceed to the last attraction of your tour in Delhi, the Qutub Minar, a five storied minaret built in 13th century by the kings of slave dynasty to commemorate the arrival of
Islam in India after Mohammed Ghori from Ghor defeated the then Hindu ruler Prithviraj Chauhan in 2nd battle of Tarain in 1192. in the campus they have many tombs, mosques etc. as well and later you will be driven back to the hotel. Overnight hotel, New Delhi.
Day 3. Delhi to Agra (240 kms) and half-day sightseeing. Overnight hotel Agra
After breakfast proceed for a 4-hour drive to Agra, check-in in the hotel after lunch, late in the afternoon, proceed for a half day tour of the city, including Taj Mahal the world-famous monument for eternal love built in 17th century in white marble and this majestic structure stands 2 meter taller than Qutub Minar, is indeed a perfect example of Persian symmetry. The only thing which offsets the symmetry of this great building is the tomb of its founder itself as he planned to himself buried elsewhere, rest of the details I’m leaving for the guide to reveal as would really not like to give spoiler as this is no doubt the best monument of north India and is now a UNESCO protected monument in world heritage list. DAY 4. AFTER BREAKFAST CHECKOUT AND DRIVE BACK TO DELHI.OVERNIGHT DELHI.
After the Red Fort visit you will be driven to Delhi. Overnight Delhi.
DAY 5. DELHI-AURANGABAD BY FLIGHT.
After breakfast you will proceed to airport to board flight for Aurangabad. Here you will visit the famous Ajanta and Ellora caves. These monuments are world’s most remarkable achievements of mankind are UNESCO world heritage sites. Overnight hotel, Aurangabad.
DAY 6. AURANGABAD-AJANTA-AURANGABAD
After breakfast proceed to Ajanta, which is around 100 kms away. The excavations, sculptors and paintings here are done by local craftsmen and Buddhist monks around 2nd century b.c. The sculptures are created in hard rock using ingenious tools and paintings too are made with colours from natural sources. The quality of art and paintings is unique and can’t be seen anywhere
else in the world. Overnight Aurangabad.
DAY 7. AURANGABAD -ELLORA CAVES-AURANGABAD.
After breakfast you will be assisted in checkout and taken for a tour to Ellora, which is located at a distance of 22 kms, in opposite direction of Ajanta. Here you will explore the monasteries and finely sculpted cave temples. In total of 34 caves, all seems to excel the other, and were built around 600 a.d.-1000a.d. and are devoted to Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. Here the wonderful Kailash temple, cave number 16, is remarkable for its minute details and largescale art. There, six generations of craftsmen worked continuously for hundred and thirty years to get this beautiful temple ready to evoke Shiva, one of the three trinities of Hinduism.(in Hindus they have three prime Gods, Brahma, the creator of universe, Vishnu, the preserver of universe and Shiva, the destroyer of universe to get the next aeon started.it is said that Vishnu already took nine incarnations and tenth incarnation is still awaited, all to save mankind. Then later board your flight to Mumbai. Overnight Mumbai.
DAY 8) Today you will be driven to the Mumbai airport to board flight for Hubli. After arrival drive to Hampi, the last capital of Vijayanagar empire. Hampi is said to be a 2000 years old civilization but the current monuments date from 14th to 17th century. The place is unique for its landscape, architecture and scenery. Here in the next two days, you will visit a series of monuments and temples, among which some are in the world heritage list of UNESCO as well. Here the scenic landscape is strewn with gigantic rocks which matches with the granite hills around and the surreal ambience makes the experience lifelong and the tales associated with the structures are equally mesmerising. Back in the day the population is said to be around a million and almost same number of soldiers were assigned with the task of protecting this prosperous kingdom. The old market was stretched in an area of around thirty square kilometres and back in the days the law and order here was that efficient that traders from all over Asia and Europe gathered here for selling and buying different stuffs from the market here including spices, gems and silk. Though most of the former glory has vanished with time but still the ruins could tell what majesty it held back in the days.
here you will start the tour with the visit of Virupaksa temple, one of the oldest structures in Hampi, dedicated to shiva and is still functioning. Its carvings and gopuram stands out with its massive structure and is in contrast with the surrounding structures.
the kings balance, a huge structure made with two massive pillars surmounted by a horizontal beam, forms a scale on which back in the days the kings would weigh themselves with valuable metals, grains etc and distribute the stuff among the needy, though on special occasions.
Pushkarni tank is a step well reflecting the engineering skills of the local artisans. And was a source of regular water supply and refuge for travellers.
house of victory commemorates a decisive victory of the local king and is consisting of carvings and sculptures, though now most of the former glory has faded with time but the structure is a living testament of the glory of the empire.
Elephants’ stables are made in a row fashion of majestic chambers and are accessed through beautiful arches. Here royal elephants were housed and kept.
Malyavanta Raghunath swamy temple is located on a hilltop and is made in south Indian style and its style reflects the neighbourhood.it gives a fabulous view of the nearby panorama.
then you can also visit the Vitthal temple, dedicated to Vishnu, the hall of musical pillars and the stone chariot.
DAY 9. HAMPI VISIT.
DAY 10. TODAY YOU WILL BE DRIVEN TO HUBLI AIRPORT TO BOARD FLIGHT TO DELHI/MUMBAI.
